The history of A#acrostic jewellery, dates back to the 18th century, when Parisian Jeweller Jean-Baptiste Mellerio first had the idea of spelling words with gemstones. This example spells Dearest.

D is for Diamond, E is for Emerald, A if for Amethyst, R is for Ruby, E is for Emerald, S is for Sapphire and T is for Tourmaline.

This ring can also be set to spell Regards.
